Migrating from our Tesla Highland Performance to a MacanEV Turbo and am super-excited. Curious which wall charger you all use... did you go with Porsche or something like ChargePoint?

tesla tap and you can use your tesla charger no problem

if you want a wall mount the tesla universal wall charger is pretty awesome- just-1772 and nacs plugs built in

I have the Tesla newest model wall charger - but no adapters. Do the adapters not slow it down?

I have a Tesla wall charger and bought an adapter from Amazon works great so far. I didn’t want to change the entire charger as it seems most brands are moving to NACS in the future

the adapter is just pass through - full speed charging - it just works!

the amp rating on the adapters is a measure of robustness (how much they can handle without melting) - not a restriction of max charge rate

you can use a 40 amp TeslaTap with an 80 amp Tesla Charger - but the adapter may fail under the load!

Thanks - although according to the site this won't work with my wall charger:

"This adapter is NOT COMPATIBLE with Tesla Destination, UMC, or Wall Connector."

that’s just the ccs1 adapter - there are two separate adapters - one for tesla slow chargers and another one for superchargers - you can purchase both

Agree, I have a TeslaTap for my Tesla charger and it is a very solid unit. I did not want to buy another charger after dumping my Tesla and I am very happy I just bought the TeslaTap.
