I went for the 14-way seats mainly because of the smaller silhouette — it makes a noticeable difference when you’ve got kids in the rear, giving them a bit more visibility.

That said, one thing I’ve noticed is that if you’re driving more “enthusiastically”, the 14-way seats don’t hold you quite as well. You (and a front passenger) do tend to slide around compared to the more bolstered 18-way option, so consider what’s important for you.

I've driven both a Cayenne and base Macan with the sport seats. The comfort seats do feel quite wide and unsupportive when you switch back!

I opted for the comfort seats to get the massage option, but I didn't realize that only moves the back of the seat, and the bottom cushion has no massage facility at all. My previous experience in a BMW 7 series had the ability to move pressure points around slowly for longer driving. Sadly, the Macan doesn't have that - and it's only on for 10 minutes too.

I was also worried about the head rest positioning - comfort seats allow adjustments, sport seats do not, but my short time with the sport seats didn't uncover a problem with this arrangement.

I ordered before having demo cars to sit in. Next time, I might get the sport seats.

I went with Comfort simply because of the massage function and because it is a bit easier to fit a baby seat on the passenger seat and easier to fit kids in the back.

They are extremely comfortable for me and when test driving I couldnt notice a huge difference to the sport seats.

However when driving sporty through tight corners I miss a bit of side support. My M Sport seats in my BMW are better in that regard.

Long story short: I would always go with comfort again on a family car but would chose the sport if you always drive alone or with max adult passenger (which isnt your wife who insists on massage seats).

Don't have long time experience, but I went with the 14-ways. Tried both at my local dealership. I'm 6'5" and the fixed headrest of the sports seat doesn't work for me. The comfort seat's adjustable headrest on the other hand is fine for me.

According to my sales rep the base seat of sports and comfort seats are the same in the Macan, it's just a matter of massage/adjustable headrest vs side bolsters/fixed headrest/+4 ways. He said the comfort of the center seating area and center back area is the same. Also didn't feel different during my seating test.

I did something today that changed my earlier (posted) conclusion when I said that due to extra ease in getting in and out fo 14-ways that instead of the 18-way seats, with 18’s on our current Macan EV Turbo, that we would be getting 14’s on the replacement Porsche Ev.

But today we tested our favorite curvy road and with our insuring the seat belts were as tight as possible before we started out, we drove at 8/10’s down the 12 mile stretch. It showed us for our kind of spirited driving a fair amount of the time that we need to again get 18’s next time.

Very good to know before we order our 2027.

I have the 18 way, I like them. They’re are definitely not as comfortable as the 14 way.

I’m not saying the 18 way aren’t great. I like them a lot. I like driving and I like that they are firmer but I notice they are there and hugging me.

If you’re looking for comfort they go with the Comfort option.
