Thanks for the detail, much appreciated. I’m sure this will help us all who are affected by this annoying rattle.

You are welcome. It was reported to be a fairly major undertaking, requiring removal of the passenger display and dash.

I missed this other thread, not realizing there was a separate forum for issues.

My Macan EV was in for a 6-day repair, with most of the delay due to recall issues and software updates, plus a second trip to the dealer to re-program the key that was reprogrammed with the software updates. The tech "forgot" to mention that both keys need to be present after the software update or one will not work.

The rattle is now about 65% improved, but still clearly audible in the exact same spot, so I will be headed back again for a second try at the repair. Three trips to the dealer in less than 10 days is an incredible waste of my time. It's not surprising though, as they forgot to order some parts for my long-scheduled warranty service last year too.

Same issue. My dealer - cherry hill porsche in NJ - said they ordered a front trim part in November to fix the problem. When I called mid December and mentioned this thread, I got a bit of attitude that the techs know what they’re doing. Still waiting for the part to come in. Imagine on a $100k car and tape is the solve??

I have exactly the same problem. The rattling disappears when I press the light bar with a finger. When I visited the dealer a month ago, the rattling was not present because the cabin was warm. Now I will contact the dealer again to have it fixed.
The dealer fixed the problem under warranty. No more rattle. :)

Nice one - did they give you a description of what they changed/replaced/fixed so that I can ask them to do the same?
The rattle in my dash was the same as in this thread:
https://www.macanevowners.com/forum/threads/removing-passenger-dash-panel-to-uncover-rattle.22511/

The dealer removed the dash panel plus a lot more. During assemply they added tape etc. according to Porsche Germany. No rattle and nice car again. They had the car 2 days.
If I tapped on the top of the dashboard, I could recreate the rattling sound.
When the car warmed up the rattle was almost gone.

I fixed the rattle in the dashboard myself.

My light bar on the passengers side would rattle when the car is cold. I wedged some adhesive backed plastic in there. I cut a piece out unpeeled the adhesive and folded it back on itself to make it thicker. I tucked it into the light bar using a credit card, need to jam it until it goes all the way through.

I used the same fabric on the B pillar to stop the seat belt banging too.

Almost the same that the dealer did to mine. They used some kind of felt.

after being gas lit by my dealer and also not having time to lose the car for several days (no loaners anymore from west london anymore due to "abuse by customers of loaners"). i fixed myself. very similar. used foam silicon 1.5mm cord https://www.amazon.co.uk/your-order...pmentId=UN6F4m95f&packageId=1&asin=B0CZ956Y1T with a ifixit phone plastic tool to pauh in gently used two lots from far near side strip with door open to mid dash. no more rattle. boom
