Good day to all.
I previously mentioned that I was going to be taking my car from Central New Jersey down to Florida, and was very interested to see how the efficiency was on the 4s. As you can see above, a little bit of traffic, but consumption was just fantastic! As an FYI, the weather was clear, about 60 degrees (15 c), so pretty perfect conditions.
My 4S has the 20 inch wheels, optioned with Summer tires. Specifically, Michelin Sport Pilot EV tires.
Also, there have been multiple reports of people with the 21 and 22 inch tires having an unsettled ride, a little bouncy. I find the 20 inch tires to ride very smoothly.
One other quick observation. The HUD, especially when used in conjunction with the Porsche navigation, is pretty wild. No question it will take some getting used to. But the data contained within is pretty much everything you need while navigating. As I'm still not used to it, I would look down to the center of the dash for the map information, and would even occasionally look to the center stack to look there (old habits die hard).
Much more driving to come, I am getting on the Auto Train later today. For those not familiar, the Auto Train here in the USA is a single route between Lorton Virginia and Sanford Florida. The route is a little over 800 miles, it will leave the station this afternoon at 4:00 p.m., and should arrive in Florida tomorrow at approximately 9:00 a.m.
Once in Florida will be driving another good chunk of miles down towards Boca Raton.
More updates to come, happy to answer any questions.
