Hi All,

First time getting a Porsche, I've been driving (company car) BMW i4 M50. I'm currently reviewing my options and am seriously considering a Macan 4.

I would have a finished budget of approx. 90-95k GBP - this would be a lease vehicle through my business (EVs Beneficial for tax benefits and BIK here in UK). This would be a 3 year Lease with Full Maintence and under warranty, so not too concerned about tyre wear.

I would prefer to have a higher spec, Macan 4, than a lower spec 4s/Turbo.

A key consideration for me is range, id want to be maintaining 260-300 miles of range which is what I'm getting on my I4.

Please give me your comments on my two spec options (Feel free to roast me or give me some pointers). Trying to figure out what's a waste of money vs what i will appreciate as ill be keeping this circa 3 years.

Areas of Questions;

Wheels - Go for RS Wheels in Black or Stick with smaller wheels for range? Would i notice much difference?

PASM / Rear Wheel Steering -

Full Leather - ive heard without full leather some of the plastics can feel cheap and scratch easily? Not yet to see one in person - although going on a test drive EOM.

Keyless Entry - Like the idea, not had before - concerns on theft etc and actually how id use for price/what else could i add.

This is what id class as my current dream spec - but toward higher end of my budget.

Let me know thoughts / recommendations.

Nice.
Your leather is not full leather. You need extended leather package for that, and that is always nice.
20-inch wheels will give you better range. In real, they look far better than in the config. So, better to see some in person before you decide.
Keyless Entry - I had the same concern as you have, so I'm good without it. My SA also suggested not to get it.

I have the partial leather and very happy with it. The comfort access is Ultra Wide Band and is a step up in terms of security protection and works really well in loading up CarPlay and starting the car before entering. It takes a bit of getting used to getting out with music still playing.

I went with the 4s standard wheels and very happy with the look. As Awaz said they do look much better on the car than in the configurator.

Rather than performance & exterior options I went with the acoustic glass and air and it’s very comfortable on 20” wheels but haven’t experience of a car without them.

For insurance purposes I have a Porsche tracker - the Vodafone app works well.

In the UK’s mild weather you should achieve over 260 - a lot of complaints about the range on here seem to reflect far lower temperatures and highway speeds up to or above 80 mph.

A few thoughts below. i have a 4S that was already at the dealer so i didn't pick and choose everything, but am mostly happy with what i have.
- i have the partial leather in chalk. i came from an ICE GTS that was all leather and the all leather is definitely a little nicer - especially on the tops of the doors. however, i don't think the partial looks cheap (and definitely looks way better than the partial leather on the previous ICE versions). i have "summerwood" and also the metal parts in the doors and dash are matt black, which i like the look of (versus the chrome metallic look)
- I would not have picked the rear wheel steering but love it. it just gives it a bit more of an edge in maneuverability.
- Similarly, i would not have picked massaging seats - but have them and love them!
- i haven't seen the green interior in person and the pics are notoriously inaccurate - but not sure how that would look with Slate Grey (but obviously a choice / taste thing)
