Well Octopus now recognises the Macan EV having told it the car is a standard Macan EV,

Only problem when I plug it in, the Porsche now comes up with a charging error even if I try to bump charge!

The car has had all schedules removed.

Any suggestions?
Car was picked up last Friday.

Octopus replied to be last night saying that the GTS has been added. I have now been able to progress, but have now hit a communication issue.

Ok so some small progress.

Long shot but have you also tried to power cycle your EVSE (charger) just to clear any cached memory which might exist?

Assume programming only exists in Octopus and not PCM / My Porsche App?

Also this thread in the Taycan forum may help - https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/intelligent-octopus-go.30733/post-519440

Thanks for the thought. Sadly, my charger has to be in dumb mode as it’s not on the Octopus comparability list, hence I need the car to integrate correctly.

Whilst I appreciate that others have mentioned charging the car in dumb mode, integration is needed to perform one smart charge per month to meet the terms and conditions of IOG. Under their new policy, I understand that they will be monitoring and of course, your low price off peak charging will now be limited to 6 hours.

I think that it’s a Porsche comms issue as my digital key and battery status are not working in the Porsche app - this has been escalated by Porsche who are waiting for a response.

Octopus have also sent me some bespoke instructions to work through today. If they work or can be used by others, I’ll post here.

Just a quick follow up. The instructions sent by Octopus actually just covered the basics of checking that Porsche Connect is active and that Privacy Mode is not engaged.

It now appears that Enode (who handle the comms for Octopus) cannot connect to my car. This does appear to be linked to my other issue where the Porsche app is not connecting the digital key or displaying battery/charge info albeit other comms elements are working correctly. Porsche have escalated my case today to Porsche AG.

However, for those of you in the UK with a GTS, hopefully you can now set up your car on Intelligent Octopus GO correctly, given that Octopus have now added this model to the list of compatible cars.

Most odd indeed.

Curious to know if selecting the correct model variant makes a material difference rather than the generic model name. If it does I wonder then what the subtleties are.

Odd that some of your Porsche Connect services for the car are reachable given the common comms connection - either it works or it doesn't. Is it actually picking up current data and not data from the Porsche servers the last time a connection was made?

I also thought that the Porsche Key used UWB (not cellular) for connectivity to the car to lock / unlock but wrong again it seems.

In guessing that you have a good cell connection in the car where it is parked - this can be accessed problem for remote connections too if not.

I used Ovo Charge Anytime (now Ovo Charge) previously and was just seamless. Enode appeared as the name of the charging profile created on the PCM.

Hopefully the "experts" at Porsche sort it quickly.
