Mirrors Stuck!!

Has anyone seen this problem...I just parked and locked the car...came back and unlocked and went to drive away and noticed my mirrors still in the lock position...turned-in so you can't use them. Tried a few times and then manually moved them back into the correct position...they pop out and can be put in the right place but not locked-in...can push them back into the locked state and they pop back in.

Now, in the manually placed state so I can drive, I get home and locked the car again and the mirrors moved back into the lock state with a pop, but again will not come out on un-lock. Tried a center console reset...no change...other ideas??

Have you tried toggling the mirror folding button by the window controls?

Yes, to no effect.

After some more research, I found an old 2018 ICE Macan post about something similar and the solution was to hold the mirror button on the door for 1 sec. So, just for fun, I tried that. At first nothing happened...pressed longer, still nothing, then let go and all of a sudden the dashboard did a restart thing and bingo, the mirrors came back out like normal! Yea! Go figure....
