New Remote Parking Assist and restrictions

In MY26, they have 2D Surround View, 3D Surround View with Parking Assistant, and Remote Parking Assistant with 3D Surround View. They are different levels of the same related features and cannot be combined.

If you select the top option, Remote, you cannot option Painted or Leather Vents inside of the vehicle.

I had Leather Vents on my build and to get the Remote Parking Assistant, I had to remove them and can only have the base vents.

I mentioned this to my SA and he had no response.

1st world problem for sure and not sure many people would pay for such an option!

I guess that's not the point and suspect it may be a configurator glitch as I can think of no technical reason.

think about leather vents only when you do not find any other way to spend more money. but there is still the turbo…

The remote parking can be convenient when you're in a crowded garage where some pickup truck is spilling over the lines but there's still a "compact" spot next to the wall ...

Except when I tried it with my e-tron GT, it would refuse to go whenever the car was closer than about 10 inches, which really isn't close enough, especially if you want to get really close on one side to have some space on the other. Given it's still VAG, I expect the Macan to do the same.

the remote parking is something you will get never again (like all the other assist systems) when not ordered up front.
so do it !

Having had it on my previous Merc & Lexus I would have optioned it if I could on my 2025. If nothing else, it provides reassurance that if some selfish driver parks too close for you to get in, you can drive the car out. In the UK the width of parking bays have not kept up with the growth in cars dimensions !

I finally heard back on this. It's not an incompatibility issue, it's a production line issue. The line with the Remote Parking installation capability doesn't have the vent customization features. They are apparently on another Macan production line.

My dealer said that they have an upholstery shop that can install matching Porsche leather, if desired. I didn't get a price on this yet.
