I ordered a new Turbo in early January and finally picked up the car today. This is my first EV, previous car was a G80 M3 xDrive, so the Turbo is familiar in terms of performance, the zero lag is quite something, I have not launched the car yet. I do miss the sound of ICE car (yes, I know some of the sounds are fake!). I have had other BMWs also and really liked the iDrive system and the technology in the car including the heads up display, mobile app etc.

I was apprehensive about the spec I have, with Volcano grey, Turbonite Spyder wheels with window trim and roof rails in Turbnoite. In real life, they do look really nice and I am glad that I stuck with the options. Internally, it is black leather, with Neodyme accents, they look really nice (yes, I know black interior is boring...). I think Volcano grey is nice, but it is really dark, and in hindsight, I would probably have picked the Slate Neo grey with the Turbonite or Gentian blue and gloss black trim, if I had seen one before ordering my car.

Some of the spec items are: Rear axle steering, HUD, surround view and InnoDrive. I have about 50 miles of driving so it is an initial thoughts:

Rear axle steering, I have had this before on an X5, I am very impressed on the Macan with the turning circle. Looking forward to taking it on the motor/highway.
HUD - I see why some folks do not like it, it can get a bit busy. I personally think I will adjust to it. I definitely think the BMW HUD was really great and loved that, so there will be an adjustment period.
360 camera - The quality is not as good as the BMW. I also really like the BMW drive recorder feature, I wish the Macan had that instead of needing a separate dash cam.
InnoDrive - not had a chance to use this yet. I used the BMW equivalent system all the team on long journeys.

The general infotainment system is ok, it will take some time getting used to vs BMW iDrive. I did spec the passenger display, which will probably turn out to be an expensive and under utilised option. Though for today the kids loved it!
The pan roof is needed to lighten up the dark interior and is really nice imo.

Looking forward to driving it more. The efficiency stats for today: 2.1mi/kWh, hopefully that will increase over the coming weeks! :)

Very nice car - congratulations!
I drive a Macan Turbo EV black and Truffle leather - today rounded 28,000 km.
I also came from BMW - have been driving BMW 5'ers for 24 years.
I was really fearing how the connectivity would be. It is different and in some areas the BMW is better and in some the Macan Turbo.
I am really satisfied with the car.

Beautiful. Ordered the same car but with turbonite on the sides. We’ll see how it turns out in a month which is the expected delivery.
Enjoy your new toy!!!

Nice spec. I wanted the turbinate wheels but my allocation locked before I could change again.

"Hey Porsche, turn off/on HUD" is really useful if it's in the way (or click the voice button). You can add the custom widget to the three custom center panel that adds a switch too.

The voice control is great for many of the things that you might want to toggle. It also is good at configuring the massage function without looking at the screen.

This is the first voice control that hasn't felt like a gimmick to me

You can turn it on, but then you have to look at the screen to configure it (with your other hand) for type and strength, unless you’re happy with the current settings.

If we are going on a road trip, then range is important but since the average person drives 36 miles per day, +90% of the time driving our Macan’s with their instanteous torque can be driven for fun. It is a PORSCHE.

This is my second pure EV. For my first one, I range anxiety for the first few months I drove it. I became addicted to getting get best range almost all the time. Consequently, driving it was more like driving an appliance, not an exciting 600+ HP vehicle. I am now driving my Macan Turbo with gusto a lot of the time. I am thoroughly enjoying doing that, including carving country curvy roads whenever possible. If I need to replace my tires more often due to enjoying the hell out of it, I plead guilty to that.

Had mine since Oct last year. Other than software issues, mainly the assistance systems, it a great car. Only other issue is rear tyre wear, not far off needing new ones at 7k miles, need to make less use of the power perhaps.
