I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on this.

I took delivery of my Macan 4 EV in early November, though it was delayed several days for "mandatory software updates." (This was a lot vehicle, not a custom order.)

At some point, I realized I hadn't received any communication from Porsche Finance about my lease. When I contacted the dealer, they responded, "Oh, that will come after the next software update (!)."

Since then, there have been two more software updates. The most recent one addressed the headlights to meet U.S. specifications. After that update, I received a DocuSign request to re-sign all the paperwork from when I originally took delivery—this time with late December dates.

My guess is that the car wasn't supposed to be released when it was, likely due to ongoing software issues. However, they delivered it anyway, possibly to keep me happy (which I am) and to cover themselves with Porsche corporate. Aside from this hiccup, my experience with the dealer has been excellent.

oooh i would definitely ask why you have to sign anything again, and what are the changes... that doesn't sound right...

I think your guess is probably accurate. They weren't supposed to release the car but did you a favor. I've had the same happen before.

If there aren't any problems/cost increases I'd just do it and not worry. Note if that is what happened and you contact PCNA it could be a real problem for you & them.

Just double check and make sure all the numbers and terms are as expected. Check what the end date is. If that all works, don't sweat it.
