Many people talk about software update but rarely mention the software release that now has been installed. Can those who have been updated put the software info on the forum please? Something like
Production month/yr - model (Macan, 4, 4s turbo) - update date (month/yr) - SW release version
Curious to see if there are more than one new SW release In the field.

There isn't a single software version you can quote.

My versions are listed below for some of the parts

From the Settings > About page
The PCM kernel is Android: 5.4.147-android 12-9-g62075f2db238-ab442
Build Number: SQ1D.220205.004 (this is a Google build ID of Android from February 2022)

Each big button on the PCM is its own app, and they can update individually, like an iPhone or Android device. You have to go into the page for each app to see its current version. There is a distinction between system apps and downloaded apps, so you might not see all the system apps.

You can see the version of each installed app listed in settings.

The important info - what is my car running that ISN'T the PCM, eg the control software that we have to go to the dealer to update - I have not found visible in the PCM displays.

Does anyone know if there's a Engineering Mode, or Service Menu access key sequence to see more detailed debugging info in the PCM? That is most likely to be the place where I'd expect to see which system updates and recalls have been deployed - eg WSD0, ASA3, ARC5 - and maybe internal lists of these sub-systems.

Current Android version is 16, looks like Macan is already running on unsupported software:CWL:

I think the current Android 16 is only two months old, to be fair. And AAOS versioning is different from Android.

AAOS 12 is not the newest, but is still a supported version.

Ok I need to find a j/k or sarcasm smiley as this clearly is not working :CWL:
To clear up any confusion 16 is the latest version for Android in the mobile world (version 12 released in 2022 is already unsupported).
In the car world (Android Automotive OS) no car runs anything past the 2022 version yet, so while all the new versions exist in the developers hand, cars are still stuck on 12 (even Chinese owned brands like the Android/Google friendly Volvo/Polestar)
