I have had my Macan ev turbo for exactly one year with the best 20k miles in my entire 31y of driving experience. Minor software glitches all resolve with a 5+ minute turning of and locking. Had one incident of charging door not opening which required a software update at the dealer to fix. So when we compare the Macan ev turbo to the tycan turbo we find out the tycan had more horsepower but less torque!!! Same with Tesla model s has similar hp but less torque. That confirms the Ppe only the Macan and its Audi etron q6 sibling have is so advanced and state of the art!!
sometimes I feel I am missing out by having my first porche not an ice panamera or 911 but realistically speaking the Macan ev and especially the turbo is a state of the art one of the most advanced and powerful cars porche has ever made. Taking it to track fo the first time in few days!!!
I just wanted to share my gratitude and pride!!!

I'm going for the 1st service tomorrow. 1 year old 18k miles. Love every bit of the car and no regrets besides a few electronic gremlins here and there. Coming from a Tycan 4s and previous 2 Panameras, including Turbo Sport Turismo.

Let us know how the track day goes. I'm concerned with range and getting home since driving to the track and back is 40% of my battery. I'm worried I would be done after 10 laps. I assume you are talking about Autobahncc track?

Excitement → 911 Turbo wins hands down over all of the ones I had.
Tycan was the closest to a 911, sitting low and sharp around the corners, but you could feel the weight.
Panamera Turbo Wagon, fast with great cornering—I wish I had kept it as an extra car since it could do all that our SUV can. I traded it for the Tycan Wagon and then traded the Tycan for a Macan.

Everyday Use → Macan EV Turbo is easier to live with, more practical, and not a PIA to get in and out of like Tycan. It gives all the thrills you need in a car minus exhaust noise, but if I want to be annoyingly loud, I can get into the 911 with its valved exhaust.

I agree. I have been a Beamer fan for a while and then the model s Tesla made me convert to ev. I have been eying the tycan for a while and when I felt I deserved better than a $100k Chevy AKA the model s Tesla I did not want to give up the neck snapping acceleration the Tesla had but the tycan with similar acceleration was above budget and even though I wasn’t considering an suv the Macan ev came out with the same acceleration I wanted and great first reviews all accross after it was driven on the French Riviera when it debuted and more affordable. Then I realized that a 49 y old with back pain i loved the Macan size and how convenient nimble and fun the car was. I am starting my tracking hobby as I said on Thursday and if I like it and go to more advanced levels I will have to invest in a second set of rims with performance tires. And keep tracking the Macan till I can afford a 911 gts. I might get a boxter gts manual before that maybe in a couple of year.

Consider a Cayman for your track days. See how many of them are at Autobahn. No need to go to 911 for the track days IMO. If you want to stay under a budget, GR86 or a Miata. Just my 2c....

This! This is the exact conclusion I have as well.

The J1 platform is very nice, firmly planted, and does a lot to mitigate the weight, but it's just too low and impractical for daily use.

Agree 100% ! I’ve got a 4S and a 992 Turbo S - my 3 years bad experiences with x2 Taycan were awful.

I’ve had my Macan Turbo for 11 months, 14.5K miles. Despite a few glitches with my tail-gate / trunk latch, the car has performed amazingly well and is by far the most enjoyable and exhilarating vehicle I have ever owned. Also, I’ve driven the car at the Porsche Center track in Los Angeles. This car is a beast. Incredible ride, handling and breaks that are spot on. I look forward to years of driving enjoyment.

My future porche plans or ambitions. Macan ev for daily and commute. Boxter gts for convertible and manual fun and some track. Then 911 gts pdk for more fun and track!!
