exactly. So why doesn't the turbo have less EPA range than the S? (-:Not that strange really is it? Ignoring EPA and WTLP metrics etc Isn’t it almost universal on all EVs across the board that the “quicker” the version of the car (not including comparing rear wheel drive vs all wheel wheel drive variants) the less range it has?
Sadly, I ordered my Macan before they announced the S, which I would gladly have preferred. Still, I have to agree here that my 4 is fast enough.I drove a turbo first then the 4 (no S out yet)...Turbo was amazing but stupid fast and the 4 was "fast enough". Ended up with a 4 they had in stock...I would have ordered the S if I had not got this one. Now driving it, its so silent and isolated that you miss the concept of speed...I'm always surprised when I see how fast I'm going. Also, I am consistently the first off the line so I never feel the that its response is slow. I have to work my 911 pretty hard to be faster than my 4. So yea, good enough![]()
I'm speccing a 4S currently (and a Turbo, but I think I'll fall on the 4S side of the fence) and was avoiding the Sport Chrono, in favour of the compass. Your comment makes me wonder if I should go Chrono instead. If I'm looking to get as much accelerative feel as my Tesla M3 Perf (which I'll be part-exing), would you recommend it?On the question of speed, the 4S doesn't feel hugely fast until you switch to Sport Plus mode, and then the quicker throttle response hits you. Why yes, that tap of the pedal got me 0.6g acceleration for 40-60mph in no time!
With Normal mode, you effortlessly go too fast, with Sport Plus, you feel it happening, and the G meter gets involved. That option certainly adds to the car for those times you can use it.
I would indeed. I was on the fence until this last week though.would you recommend it?
Cheers. Having driven down to Anacortes from Whistler in the past, I didn't find any "better quality" road surfaces! Will try heading east when the Macan arrives and report back if I find any.I would indeed. I was on the fence until this last week though.
Now I just need to find better quality road surfaces to use it on!
I have a 4S and also had a Tesla X. Get the Chrono, you will want it since you drove a Tesla. It is worth it.I'm speccing a 4S currently (and a Turbo, but I think I'll fall on the 4S side of the fence) and was avoiding the Sport Chrono, in favour of the compass. Not sure. But from a WLTP perspective (yah I know EPA is the way to go) Porsche does note the differenceexactly. So why doesn't the turbo have less EPA range than the S? (-:
