I ordered my Frozen Blue Turbo in part for the (IMHO) aesthetic improvements over the 4/4S, including the shape of the front splitter and the (fake) rear vents. However, I'm only partly sold on the high-gloss black finish of the lower trim parts and wheel arches. Yes they look slick but almost to the point of distraction (again IMHO). If interested, here's my build: PSQX45F1

I plan to PPF the full front end with a "regular" gloss film for the hood, quarter panels and painted bumper parts, but am considering using a satin finish film for the high-gloss black lower trim and wheel arches. Any thoughts on this? Would welcome your opinion.

Our configs are pretty close. I personally like the gloss trim, and had all painted surfaces covered in gloss PPF. I was originally going the off-road trim route, but removed it because I liked the gloss black look.

I think for your final decision, have your PPF shop do a satin film test piece for you on the black trim, and see if you like it.

Thanks Jeff. Yes our builds are very similar! Good suggestion on having a test piece done. Maybe once I see the car in person (expecting a late November or early December delivery) I'll have a different impression of the gloss black.
