The Macan Turbo comes standard with the side blades in Turbonite (at least in NZ). Has anyone seen what the finish of these might be like on other models? In the configurator it looks like a matte finish. I’m wondering if the gloss black might look better, and that seems to be what Porsche presented in the Macan reveal.

Have the same question, haven't been able to see Turbonite in person yet.

I spent some time googling around for whatever discussion I could find of Turbonite, and it seems it can be executed in either glossy or matte. So it's a shame Porsche doesn't seem to specify in the configurator.

You can see first pictures of the turbonite side blades on the Aventurine Green Metallic paint - they look really good.

Unsure how well they would work on other colors that said, this green seems to be a perfect match for turbonite.

Yeah, it’s a great match for the green. I think on Ice Grey that gloss black looks better, that is how Porsche presented the car too so perhaps they think the same thing?

I saw the Turbo alive and shared some photos. I can confirm you all “Turbonite” exterior details including the side blades are matte finished …and they look really sporty and distinctive.
In my opinion the turbonite colour works better with a dark colour for the car.

Interesting the wheel arch trims are still black gloss. It’s all personal, but to me there are just too many finishes going on. But yes, on the green it makes sense. I don’t think Turbonite will look great on lighter or more contrasty colours.

Yeah I find it a little strange too.

According to US configurator, the Turbo takes the following to High Gloss Black:
  • Wheel arches
  • SportDesign side skirts
  • Exterior mirror lower trim and base
Other changes from silver tones to black:
  • Rear Porsche logo in Satin Black
  • Door sill guards in Black Brushed Aluminum

My current plan is to go:
Macan Turbo
Ice Grey Metallic
22" RS Spider wheels (gloss black/silver)
Side window trims - black gloss
Side blades - black gloss
Design lower trim - black gloss
Air blades - black gloss
Rear Macan Turbo logo - black gloss
Electric logo - not standard in NZ fortunately, will not option it either
Door handles - retain body colour

That coordinates the exterior for me, I have not locked in my thinking on the interior, but also not too sure about Turbinate accents. Still working through that but probably thinking Black/Black with Black interior trim and leather interior package for the horizontal inserts on the doors.

...and also option the heck out of it. 😊
