What excuse you find to drive your new car?

Somewhat a dumb question lol. But I think most of us get this new car itches that you just want to be in the new car or drive it more often. I feel a bit guilty to just drive out without a purpose so I'm curious if anyone else is with me - trying to find an excuse (or "use case") and any interesting/fun ones you could share?

My Taycan battery was on recall and Porche didn’t want to take it as trade-In so I got the Macan because of that. The Taycan was my dream car!! I plan to get one once they adopt non LG batteries and new software as the Macan.

It is 300 yards to the mail box, out here in the country, so a daily drive required, but I routinely wander far around the county, just for no reason.

I tell my wife I’m going to the post office to get stamps, which we both know isn’t the case.

The excuse is that you need to take photos of the car in different locations and share them with us.

Sure! Here are some totally unnecessary reasons to go for a drive with no purpose, the last one is the most important one and the only one you ever need.

1. To let your car know you still love it — it’s been parked for too long and is starting to feel neglected.
2. To confuse your GPS — make it question its entire existence with your chaotic route.
3. To test if your favorite playlist still slaps while driving — science demands repeat experiments.
4. Because your neighbors need to see you doing mysterious things — keep the legend alive.
5. To convince yourself gas prices are just a suggestion — “I drive on vibes and delusion!”
6. To avoid doing laundry — if you’re not home, you can’t hear it calling.
7. To practice waving like royalty at random pedestrians — build your reputation one awkward smile at a time.
8. To chase the sunset like it owes you money — dramatic and pointless, but satisfying.
9. To give your snacks a scenic tour of the town — they’ve earned it.
10. To momentarily escape adulthood — because responsibilities can’t catch you if you’re driving 45 in a 35.
