What is this beeping sound coming from the rear seat (left) or trunk area?

It’s kind of random and there is no alert or error sign from the instrument cluster whatsoever. Sometimes the beep happens immediately when you start the car; on the road it is mostly quiet on the highway but not always the case; and definitely more beeping when going around town (and sort of beeps more when the road is bumpy). Anyway I recorded the double beep sound finally. Please see video and help.

I'm speculating here but are you driving with something placed on the right backseat such as a heavy bag that might trigger the seat belt warning?

Reminds me of the day I was tasked with delivering a 13 kg (29 lbs) watermelon to my mother-in-law. Didn't want it rolling around the trunk and thought I was being clever by putting it on the passenger seat. Obviously the car thought I was driving with an unsecured baby next to me and beeped the whole way. Not my proudest moment.

It could be a faulty seat belt sensor. Might be worth buckling all back seat belts and see if the beeping stops.

Good advice! I wish that would be it though. I have tried fastening all seatbelts as well but it didn't solve the beeping problem. It could be a seatbelt sensor issue though or the tailgate? Definitely gonna call the dealer again...

I wonder if it's the speed warning sound? that might explain why you don't get it consistently.

I know… weirdly there’s nothing abnormal showing on the dashboard. Not the speeding sound as we turned that feature off on day two lol.

Do you have front and rear cameras fitted? It sounds like mine and my husbands have done (on other cars - we have yet to get it fitted to my Macan).
