Wireless Charging Not Possible

I've had my Macan 4 for three weeks, the wireless charging has failed (was initially working). It's giving the message

"Wireless charging is not possible. Remove any metallic objects from the smartphone tray. You may place your smartphone in the tray again after approx. 5 seconds."

It's not the phone as I've tried with different phones and there's nothing in the wireless tray. Anyone have any idea whether this is a known fault with an easy fix, or is it a trip back to the dealer?

I had problems with the MagSafe case I used in my previous car. Once I switched to a non-MagSafe case, I have had virtually no problems. I still position the phone in a specific place though (perpendicular and in the back left corner).

 

[ColdCase]

A liitle to the left in the back is the sweet spot for my iPhone 14 with an apple case. Otherwise no charge. I don't get error messages, however, just no green charging icon.
