Hey all, I’ve been a ”fake” member for many months now, and finally became an official member of the Macan EV Owners club. I know I can be a pain in the ass on this forum sometimes, but I do appreciate the support and sharing of information found here. The PEC delivery experience was a bit over the top in terms of fanfare, signing a star, etc, but it was quite fun nonetheless.

We immediately drove it 300 miles on the way home and the plug and charge worked great. 28% - 75% in about 14 minutes at Baker, CA. Driving assist feels like its on rails compared to some others I’ve driven.

Ice grey really doesn’t work In photos, the grey doesn’t come out.

Looks like a fun experience! Driving it home from a remote dealer is a good way to get to know the car :)

Got back from PEC LA yesterday afternoon, about a 700 mile drive. Performed superbly, we stopped once in Baker, overnight in Vegas since we got a late start heading out after delivery, then once in Cedar City before getting home.

The charging was fantastic. I had my father in law with me, who is new to EVs - is aware of them and has read articles. He was prepared to wait for the car to charge, but we never did. Honestly I myself was a bit surprised just how fast that charge goes up and how long it holds a good rate. We went from 28% to 75% in just 12 minutes. After we got some drinks he said “so low long do we need to wait, maybe 30 minutes?”, and I said “no, we can go now!”. The Achilles heel is still the slow charging when you get up into the 85-90%+ range, but honestly, I don’t often really need that extra range.

Once we got home I was eager to go “run errands”, and the car really comes alive in city driving. It handles corners and acceleration so much better than the iX M60 did, it’s absurd. The iX is a great car in many respects but I really missed this.

The color combo worked out ok, I’m not completely enamored with it but it looks nice and makes it a bit distinctive which is what I wanted. I knew I succeeded when I got a call from my salesman while running errands and he told me he spotted me while doing a test drive. The interior club leather worked out, much darker than it seems in photos and no obvious issues with windshield reflection. The red stitching accent on the center console is subdued and not loud. I’m glad I opted for the extra leather just to take it up a notch.

If there’s one thing I’m a bit “meh” about is the integrated nav. I thought it would be better given the Android Automotive and our Volvos excellent Google integrated nav. The main thing I look for is a clear indication of distance to destination and my battery level on arrival. I don’t see that the native nav shines in this regard, it would show the expected percentage at the final destination in a small box at the very far right, but not distance and percentage to next charging stop. I want that info right in front of me so I can monitor the progress of the trip. I hope they update to have CarPlay be able to read SoC like they added to the Taycan.

Distance to Destination and Battery Level are available as a pull down. See, the Nav overlay on the right with pull up arrow on the bottom. This is from the simulator, as I do not have Macan EV (yet), but it works similar on a Taycan that I do have. Also, there should be a Tube Trip menu that tells you about your current trip with distance and time.

Yeah, I see this, but my complaints are that 1) I didn’t see a way to put this data right in front of me so I can glance at it regularly, and 2) with a charging stop it doesn’t seem to show the percentage at the intermediate stops. The next stop is the most important to monitor - although I freely admit I may be missing something.

Just reviewed my photos and your star is still on the wall. Would be interesting to see if/how they shift them around over time.

I just checked my photos. Upper left corner top row was 1401. We were second in from the left as 1402. To the right of ours started 1333, 1334, 1335, etc… and all in numerical order from there to the bottom it appears.

Some interior shots, for those who might be looking at leather center console, it does a lot to take visible plastic out, but in an area many may not pay attention to.

also some matte Neodyme carbon fiber.

Super quality pictures. It looks great just as you configured it especially the leather with stitching in the extra areas and the Bordeaux seat belts.
