We just love our Macan EV. Handles, brakes, steers and accelerates terrifically. As I just wrote to a friend: “You know you really are happy with your new car when you look forward to a 2:45 AM opportunity to drive it (returning my sister for the 1st airport out flight out of the day). This the right car for us! As i describe it, a “sports car wrapped in a crossover body.”
Not that we haven’t had our issues. Quick re-cap: Arrived at our house in Oregon evening of April 3rd by enclosed transporter from Porsche West Broward (FL). Enjoyed it for just three hours of driving before its software started progressively crashing, e.g., loss of driver’s side brake lights, turn signals, failure to hold major settings such as GPS auto-lift raising, and much more. With the major software update VR 28.11/WSD0 needing to be done, and then just when that was finished, the software stop-sale was issued (ASA3 for the rear camera), we just got it back fully fixed three days ago. Meanwhile we could not have asked for better help from our local dealership, from an almost new 2025 Cayenne loaner, to keeping us informed, to their working with Porsche Germany to figure out the next sequential steps (many progressive, testing requirements Porsche Germany required by them before they authorized the complete new rear center light section to be replaced), etc.
To best summarize, as we did not even buy it from them (our 1st Porsche ever), and with two 911 GT3 RS and even one RSR already in their shop, to have one of their two Shop Foremen personally work on ours at times was a commitment that had us floored. Since we got it back three days ago, we have enjoyed three different trips totally over 325 miles. It is functioning flawlessly now and is BIG FUN to drive — especially spiritedly on curvy country roads. Thanks Porsche for creating such a great vehicle for my wife and me, and Porsche Beaverton for devoting major resources to getting it fully fixed/returned to us.
