How does the remote heating work in your Porsche Macan Electric?

In my Macan 4 Electric (2024) I cannot control the seat heating from the My Porsche app on my iPhone. It’s not possible to turn on the seat heater from the app.

Another issue is that when we have had the seat heaters on, leave the car, and return later, the seat heater on the driver’s seat is on, but not on the passenger seat—even if it had also been on before.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

It works for me, both cabin heating and cooling. I don’t know how the passenger seat behaves because I typically drive by myself.

Ok but what about the seat heater, is it possible for you to check it, if you have some winter climate

I haven’t preconditioned in a month or so
But I’m pretty sure toggling next to the seat turns the seat heating on/off

I think seat heaters don't work well unless someone is sitting in it (the seat is mostly foam insulation, so little thermal mass and the leather is not a great heat conductor), so maybe they don't turn on because the wont do much until you sit in it. Just a guess.

Sorry if I wasn't clear -- the seat heating worked at least for the driver seat provided it is selected in the app. I haven’t tried the passenger seat heating because it’s typically empty.

Test it's not that easy to see if it works. I suspect Porsche thought completely wrong when they programmed this. The fact that the passenger seat doesn't start is also completely crazy. Should the passenger sit with a cold seat in a premium car?

Regardless is empty or not you can heat / cool every seat from the app

No issues works like a charm, as has been stated select the zones to be heated and should all work. Always nice and toasty on cold mornings both driver and passenger side.

Do you have ventilation in your seats? I do not have it. Porsche support can’t explain it.

Yes we have the cooling option, not sure if the cooling function works with the preconditioning yet as not had the car a month yet, and weather is still quite cool here in NL

Did you option it?? as if you did and its not there then suggest checking your original order and contcting the dealer

This my last conversation with Porsche support today, they don't know how it works. I will come back.
