It’s in German but should be readable.
The car is from Germany where there are no speed limits on some roads, that’s where the spoiler is useful :)
Extending it at lower speed would not make sense airodynamically. You can always force it to be extended in the car settings if you really wish to.

I really appreciate this level of detail… I’ve seen a few bits of material from this document (perhaps different documents from the same source?) around the forum over the last year and a half, and I’ve gotta know - is a copy of the entire thing available somewhere?

Simply asked ChatGPT to translate the image with the original formatting respected as closely as possible:

Aerodynamics

The new Macan benefits from numerous active and passive aerodynamic measures. With an impressive drag coefficient (cw) of 0.25, the Macan sets a new benchmark in terms of aerodynamics and clearly stands out from other compact SUVs. This low air resistance value reduces energy consumption and increases range.

The entire fully enclosed underbody has been aerodynamically optimized.

The deeply drawn front end with extensive spoiler lip generates additional downforce, and the wheels also contribute to the excellent aerodynamics of the Macan.

Additionally, Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) with active elements at the front and rear are used. The front features air curtains and active cooling flaps. At the rear, the adaptive rear spoiler provides demand-based and speed-dependent downforce. It extends in different stages depending on the driving mode:

Graph Labels (Bottom):

  • x-axis: Vehicle Speed [km/h]
  • Legend:
    • Green: Normal
    • Blue: Sport
    • Yellow: Sport Plus
    • Gray: Panoramic Roof Open
    • Red: Launch Control

Graph Labels (Left Side):

  • Performance
  • Eco
  • Retracted

Graph Lines:

  • Solid Line: Spoiler deployment
  • Dashed Line: Spoiler retraction

I then asked it to update the file by using that translation so I could download it. Not perfect but pretty close… and took all of 30 seconds. 🫠

The more I stare at that graph, the more errors I find. It might only be the background color that's correct.

That’s why I provided the translation separately for those who really don’t want to be bothered.

Plus didn’t your parents teach you staring is a big no-no? 😆

I put ChatGPT through its paces with translating, as well - I was impressed!

What I’m really after is the full suite of this nerd-level information that’s not outlined in the manual… I know there’s more beyond this spoiler detail floating around out there - here’s an example. I also feel like I may’ve seen a slide related to the motor configurations at some point…

Not a big deal if I’m looking for something that doesn’t exist - I’ve had my Turbo exactly 1 week & I’m driving it as often and as long as my schedule allows - a MUCH more exciting way to gather data! 🥳

There is much more in the document- but it is 58 mb large... I think some/ most of them are screenshots that i took.

Then that source document’s probably exactly the one I’ve been searching for! Do you know if it’s still accessible / available to me somewhere?
