There is a strange creaking noise coming from my dashboard. It seems to only occur when it is cold. It started last November, a month after purchase. It stopped in April this year and I haven't heard it since two weeks ago. On the third attempt to fix it, the dealer dismantled the entire dashboard and reassembled it. It worked fine for half a day and then it was back. Today it's extremely warm for this time of year and guess what? No more noise. Anyone have any ideas?

Not completely related, but my driver side dashboard tweeter was delivered slightly out of place and dealer said they’d have to remove the dash to fix it. I’m glad to hear removing the dash didn’t introduce new sounds because that’s what I’m afraid of by having it fixed!

I've had this and, after much searching, I discovered that the strip for the ambient lighting creaks against the dash.

It always appeared to come from the passenger side approximately in the glove box area.

Pressing on it replicates the sound and holding it when I'm the passenger stops it making a noise when driving.

I've not worked out a fix yet but at least I know where it's coming from.

I tried what you said to simulate the sound by pressing the light bar. It's exactly the annoying sound I hear while driving. I'll try it again when I hear it while driving. Great tip if it works.

Coincidentally, I dropped mine off on Thursday to have my dash light bar rattle fixed. It is exactly the same spot described - above the middle right portion of the glove compartment.

I also had cracks in the light bar in my side mirrors. The light bars are apparently individually replaceable, and pretty easy to remove.

There were also five open recalls. Mine was a March, 2025 delivery.

It is late Monday now, and still no word back about the vehicle being ready.

Update: "... he was able to finally get the noise repaired. This was an all day process. Everything is done except..." Still waiting on some part for one of the recalls.

hallelujah! ive found exactly the same - reported it twice to west ldn dealer - gaslit me twice that its wasnt there or 'solved' . exactly same diagnosis , reported as NVH linked over harsh surfaces around glovebox / pass (rhd model) vent area and now i also have discovered if you push gently / hold ambient light strip just above the glovebox it stops the 'rattle' but it comes back after a few more drives - deffo temp related too worse in. warmer weather and when cabin warmed up. -gonna give em both barrels next visit at Porsche WL now theres others with same reports... was driving me insane and regular front seat passenger also...
