I was wondering if anyone ever tried changing their Macan EV’s cabin filter and windshield wiper blades themselves. I looked below the dash in front of the passenger seat for the cabin filter, but I’m not sure how to remove these buttons? In the ICE Macans, they were knobs you can twist off, but these don’t look like the ones they used on the ICE Macans. Anyone have any idea on how to get access to the cabin filter? Is it worth doing it yourself? Porsche charges an insane amount to do these simple things. To patch a puncture in the tire cost me $142 at the dealership, whereas previously I paid Kal Tire $50-60 max.

Porsche tax is nothing new, prices have always been eye watering.
Regarding wipers & filter I haven’t checked but if I had to guess:
1) Wipers same as all VAG, with the car running, switch it off, move wiper stalk immediately, wipers swipe to vertical position & stay there, swap with Bosch equivalent at a fraction of the price, they come with 4? adaptors to fit a variety of cars, follow instructions on the box i.e. correct adaptor/orientation/clicking sounds when you insert and you should be good
2) Filter, from the photo it appears that’s the glove box, filter should be much further down, top of the passenger footwell, will check next time I’m in the car

These look exactly like Taycan and we replace them easily and save a ton. Also, 3rd party filters are 4 layers and superior to OEM. My Macan EV is on order, so cannot help with step by step yet, but for sure will be replacing it myself.

The way you undo those, is that you need to use a flat plastic tool to pull on the middle that loosens it then you pull it out.

Remember the air flow direction when you pull existing filter out.

The photo of the knob is below the glove box, however it's one big panel so it's connected. I think to gain access to the cabin filter you have to remove all these knobs so the panel could come down. Not sure if you've looked at your own Macan to verify yet, but if I am wrong, please let me know. As for the wiper blades, I'm in Canada and not sure where I would buy these Bosch equivalent parts here. Where can we find these?

When are you getting your Macan? It would be great if you could share step by step when you do get it. I'm sure a lot of us would be interested in changing the cabin filters ourselves.

My Macan ETA is in my signature and looks like months away.
Taycan is simple but you need step by step to locate the holding pins and then there is a slider panel that you unsnap to access the filter. I would have thought by now someone on the forum would have posted a DYI with Filter order references. This is what we have on the Taycan forum.

Ahh Thanks for the tip. I did a search for Taycan cabin filter and found these two links.

Could be similar to this process. The video posted is in Korean, but a user posted photos of the process as well. Now the thing is finding the right filter to buy. You mention third party filters are better quality. Would you happen to have the brand name(s) to look for?

I just had a look at my Macan.
You were right. It is exactly as you say.
I recommend this video from the Taycan as it appears at least from the outside and user comments to be near enough the same process.
Video also shows the exact same part number "Audi" filter for less than half the price of the "Porsche" one.

I suggest you purchase the plastic trim removal tool as shown in the video (much better than using pliers, etc.), remove the filter and take a picture of the part number. You can then hunt down the same filter as Audi or OEM part at a good saving.

As for the wipers, follow this link for the correct part numbers:
https://www.macanevowners.com/forum/threads/rear-wiper-replacement.21800/post-373922
Note if you have a rear wiper you are out of luck as could not find a reliable source of one that fits.
I have not changed my wipers so all this is academical.

Good luck!

I looked up the ones that I use for Taycan and there does not seem to be an easy way to find or locate the filter as it is getting confused with Macan ICE. The brands that used are A-Premium and PureFlow.

Thank you! It's a bit harder for Canadians to acquire cheaper parts. There doesn't seem to be a lot of online retailers for the cabin filters. I actually can't even seem to find sites that strictly says their filters are for the Macan Electric. I think they're all for the ICE Macan. Like I found this. But it also says on their description that it fits 2019-2025 Porsche Macan, 2.0L, Recirculation, which to me says ICE Macan.

I looked up the ones that I use for Taycan and there does not seem to be an easy way to find or locate the filter as it is getting confused with Macan ICE. The brands that used are A-Premium and PureFlow.
Yes, I ran into the same problem searching for cabin filter. Every online retailer seems to only have filters for the Macan ICE and not the electric. But I wonder if they're the same size? Could they still work? the biggest issue right now is finding these filters.

Okay, I have confirmed that this cabin filter will work for the Macan electric. I used my VIN number to search for it on the PureFlow website.

I cannot access the link but I would be very careful to make sure this is for Macan EV. I did my search and Macan EV was not listed as engine choices presented were from the ICE Macan.

I would not be comfortable ordering unless confirmed by the seller. I would just send them a note to ensure fit. I use this filter brand for all 3 of mine and it is really high quality and superior to OEM in every way. Highly recommend it but the fit must be confirmed.

They were the ones who directed me to their own website to enter the VIN for compatibility verification. So logically, it should mean that it’s confirmed it will work? Otherwise, defeats the purpose of that VIN search feature.

I would be very interested to know if it fits. I keep at least 2 of the filters ready as I replace them every 6 months or every 5k miles, anything less frequent, you are breathing mold. Ionizer option now called Air Quality helps a lot making your filter to be more efficient so you will see it turn dark sooner if you have this option and keep it on at all times - no reason to turn it off. Ask your dealer to keep the filter for you to see after recommended 2 years or 20k miles to prove my point.
