This bulletin shows their approach to such problems.
"In the event of a customer complaint" tell it's by design and perhaps the customer will go away.
"In the event of customer escalation" admit OK there is a way to fix it.
They call it "subjectively unpleasant function" so as not to admit this a very clear case of bad design - the same could be said about the rattling seatbelt.
I think it's similar to the cracking sound coming from suspension over bumps but this one is much more expensive to fix so those affected are left on their own.
