@Redtiger F17 Elite review.
I opted for dash cam prewiring for my Macan, but I wanted to try it out, so I installed it in my Volvo XC40, as I intend to use the prewired option. However, if you did not pick that option, then this cam is a good alternative. I created a few videos so you can see what you get and the front camera installation here.
I am not going to win any YouTube awards for the quality of the videos, but you can get the idea if you're interested.

Regarding the review, here are my notes
1. Quality
*The front camera is excellent. Solid and sturdy construction
*The touch screen is responsive and clear
*Mounting hardware is well-designed
*The user manual does the job, although there are a few instructional notes that could make it better. That is more than accommodated by the supplementary video they have on their site and others that have made their own.
*I did not use the rear camera, so I cannot comment on its quality.
2. Functionality
* They pretty much cover all the bases. Resolution settings, toggling of views, voice activation, etc. There is a detailed review of all the features here
Redtiger F17 Elite 4K Review: the BEST 3 Channel Dash Cam in 2025!
So far, I agree with the reviewer's comments, although I will need more time with it to make a final judgement.
3. Pros and cons
Pros
* I like the quick disconnect of the camera so you can remove and install it easily once you have it set up.
* Good camera quality and the recording features give you a lot of flexibility.
Cons
* The rear camera installation is an issue with hatchbacks or any car that has a rear window that swings up. You can install it by routing through the trim but you need to leave enough slack in the cord so it does not interfere with the door movement. This results in having a wire hanging down, which I am not keen on doing. That said, the interior camera on the front device does capture video of what is behind you, although at a distance. For this reason, I did not install the rear camera.
I hope you find this useful.
