That looks good and clean!
Didn’t realize that there was that much room for the box. I ended up putting my own air compressor and tools in that spot.
More room in the Taycan and should have swapped the box setup from the Taycan to the Macan and used the full DR970 instead.

Anyone using ODBC port as power? I have it for power for the last 3 months but seems like a recent firmware update, it sleeps now when parked. DR970X -2CH setup and working totally fine and using the Macan’s hotspot while driving. When you get in the car, it gets out of sleep and starts recording. Before all of this, you can see the LED status lights and when it detected motion, it’d blink. I’ve tried turning off the low voltage cutoff and then keeping it on but lowering the threshold to the lowest it’ll let me.
Curious if anyone else seen this?

I had great success with the BlackVue 970x LTE Plus. Initially, we hardwired the setup, and I found the parking mode feature very accurate. I never worried about draining the 12v battery because of the voltage cutoff capabilities. However, a few months later, I added the blackbattery to increase the camera’s operating time when parking for extended periods. So far, I’ve managed to go 15-18 hours in parking mode with the BlackVue battery having about 80% charge. I’m impressed with the app, camera quality, alerts, and the ability to customize modes.

Has anyone installed the Blackvue Elite 8 in the Macan EV? I’m interested in purchasing the new Elite 9 which is about to be released but heard that the Elite series may not work in parking mode if hardwired into the fuse box as the fuses provide constant power and that installation may void the vehicle warranty.

not sure if this applies to everyone but i now feel i no longer need the additional B130 battery.
There was a new update applied for my car at the dealership. And now the High Voltage battery maintains the 12V battery. It didn't do that before. I have been monitoring it for the last month. and my 12V car battery does no longer go below 11.7V . So no longer need the extra Dashcam battery it seems.

Anyway to confirm that? As far as I know, when the car is off the high voltage battery stops charging the 12v battery.

Where did you place the battery and how did you handle the wire connection? I was thinking of placing it to the left of the subwoofer under the trunk’s floor.

yes that is how it used to be for me. My Tech Rep mentioned that there was an update and it sounded it was across the entire line of machans. Although i must say that i went to Stuttgart to talk to some folks at the Department where they developed the car. I told them my problem, and they said they will look into it to fix it. Maybe they have. But it sounded it was for all of them.

yes that is where i have it. also. I did add a hardware voltage drop switch . to prevent it from draining the 12V battery beyond 11.5V. Want to make sure the car does not go fully dead. But now it seems i no longer need all that.
