Front camera fogged up

For the past few days I thought maybe my front camera was dirty. I have cleaned it and it seems like it’s just permanently fogged up. I will schedule service but wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

When I acquired my Macan 4 EV, I had a problem with a shift from my garage (very low humidit due to HVAC) to high humidity (outside air) causing the front camera to fog up for up to 30 minutes of driving! The solution was to wipe it down with water/vinegar to clean it and then a glass cleaner ... but it worked best if I waited 15 minutes after pulling the car out of the garage.

I took my car to the dealership and they said that the camera has some moisture permanently stuck inside the camera and won't come out. They ordered me a new camera, but it'll be two months before I get it. They were also unable to install the recent software update because of the faults on the camera, so I have to wait to get that too.

If there’s moisture inside it means a seal is broken. I would try to park it facing the sun on a warm day for a few hours to see if you can drive the moisture out as a temporary measure.

Thanks. I mean, I'm just happy to have the car. I waited so long to get this car, and I'm just so happy the plug and share stuff works, because that was a real pain in the butt. Thank you.
