Key fob battery

Wondering what the life of the key fob battery is. On my previous Audi they used to go every 9 months without any warning. Has anyone had any issues?

I just keep CR 2032, 3 V batteries around to replace them. I get almost 2 years out of a typical battery in a Porsche key.

There was one member who was having a problem where the battery would only last a few weeks. I don’t know what caused that or how it got resolved. I’ve had my car about four months and haven’t had any issues.

Best way is to measure it using simple device as it depends on usage.
I measure mine every 6 months and if it is low, then I replace it.

That was me!! I got one of the first Macan Turbos off the production line and from day 1, my key fob batteries would die every 3 weeks like clockwork. Happened for months from October until early June. They ordered new fobs from Germany around December, but I kept having the same issue. It was driving me nuts. The last time the car was in for service, they replaced the "body control unit" which supposedly is responsible for the comfort functions of the car. I picked the car up on June 6 and haven't received a low battery warning message yet, so fingers crossed!!
