A fun post about Macan 4 delivery from Kyle Connor. One interesting tidbit: I had been saying, I could swear the (USA) Macan 4 does not have the claimed 11 kW AC charger. Kyle mentions for the first time that the charger is 40 amps, not 48 amps. This totally fits with my experience, even though the specs for my build claim 11kW (48 amps).

yeah i was wondering about that as i've been planning and doing research for my charger set up.
That would be highly strange for porsche to get this wrong no?

All I can say is the highest charging rate I've gotten on two different EVSE's is 9.3 kW at the EVSE. Both EVSE's are set to 240v / 44 amp. You would think if the Macan had a 48 amp charger, you would see better. I'm a little miffed because being aware of the claimed 11 kW charger, I had both units hardwired so I could exceed 40 amps, and now it appears that was not the best move.

Interesting. I see on my chargepoint at home about 8.6kw reported in the CP app, my taycan shows 9.2kw.

I'm wired for a full 50a but charger set at 40a. mainly to keep the grid demand and rely mostly on my solar generation when charging during the day. (ie car charges mostly from solar and limit grid fees/etc).

Standard Equipment on Macan 4 shows 11 kW AC rating (see below).
I checked newsroom internal docs and they clearly state "11 kW Integrated Power Box (AC)"

I will have a chance to drive one next week and will do a test at home where I have 48Amp output from Emporia EVSE charging my Taycan at close to 11 kW rate and see what Macan EV will report.
