2024 Macan 4. Yesterday operated normally. Today I receive a rash of warnings; chassis error, rear axel steering failure, braking function limited, rear cross traffic alert not available, speed limit display not available, power steering non functional. . . The sunroof is also inoperable. I am dropping the car off at the dealer tomorrow (lucked out as a loner was available). I suspect software / computer issue as the affected system seem to be unrelated. Will keep you posted.

I’ve also had a bunch of random glitches in the last couple days including the alarm going off in the garage and today a trunk emergency release error amongst a bunch of other error messages. I’ll have to take it in to the dealer, I’m also suspecting it sorely needs a software update

Maybe 12v battery is failing. That would also cause multiple issues.

I have owned my macan sport electric just 3 months and 3,000 miles. It is in the shop for the fifth time!! Every issue has been computer, communication, system error issues. Driving the car when system error messages flash across the screen is unsafe and frustrating. After a total of 39 days in the shop so far, I am fed up. Porsche of North America has been a disappointment in resolving the problem. Will keep you posted

I have experienced all of those issues - and still do. The adaptive cruise control turns off, a lot. The dealer said "environmental" because my car was not clean enough (I have a limited water supply, living in the country, and cannot waste water on regular car cleaning). Why did the active cruise control turn off in slow moving traffic, after being OK for 40 minutes?

Charging is very problematic. The Macan takes so long to reciprocate communication with a charger, that the charging station gives up and shuts down. Usually, I have to telephone the charging company and ask them to manually connect the Macan to their charging station. The friendly support people are aware of the Porsche issues in taking forever, compared to every other make of car.

The worst experience was the Macan's reaction to avoiding a collision. I was in slow moving city traffic when an e-bike was ridden across the lanes of traffic, just as I was moving off. I saw the e-bike in time, and jammed on the brake, narrowly avoiding a collision by centimeters. The Macan, in my words, "through a tizzy fit" because the emergency brakes could not work in time to avoid the collision. The Macan totally tried to shut down with the red circle of death telling me to pull over and call for assistance. I could not because I was in thick city traffic with nowhere to park. I limped for a few kilometres to where I could park for ten minutes. Did that, and the Macan agreed to start.

Just about every time I drive, there is a software issue. And, the amount of charge drops 3% to 5% in the first few kilometres driven, every time, severely cutting back on range.

Now - I just ignore everything and continue driving.

On country roads, off the highway, I set the cruise control on anything and just steer. The Macan turbo can take any corner at any speed, other than through a series of depressions in corners (that really sends the suspension into overload, with axle hops). In a strange way, the Macan feels boring. My previous vehicle was an Aston Marting Vantage S Red Bull Racing Limited Edition and it could take any corner at any speed (without electronic intervention) and was fun to drive!

The other problem with the Macan, for me, is that I just cannot find a comfortable seat position. A few hundred kilometres, and my back pain is agony. I had a Cayenne GTS and it was more comfortable.

Just some feedback after 5 months of ownership.

Received a call today from the service department. Indication was that all diagnostic tests passed, but the multiple system error messages and reduced functions are still present. I was told the service dept will have to consult Porsche directly for assistance. Translation: they don't know what is causing the faults or how to fix it / them. I should know more on Tuesday.

I will spare everyone a long post detailing all the error messages and warnings that I’ve received, but I’ve experienced the same thing you have. I’ve had my 4S for a little over a year and I haven’t gone a month without some type of an error message (white, yellow and red) and every time it goes into service they tell me the same thing which is they don’t see any fault codes and it just keeps happening.

This has been my experience as well. People not having to deal with the service dept don’t know how frustraing this is. I really dont mind the car having issues and problems, most brands do and you take some risk buying a new platform. But the total lack of competence from dealers is mindblowing, no support from Porsche and clearly no idea what to do with problems. Add to it stupid explainantions and dismissing issues (make car pulls to the left and right at the moment and after 5th alignment they told me to get used to it as they all drive like that). This is the first time I had such an experience and I see this is not only the case with my dealer but a general problem with Porsche.

I repeat, have already mentioned this. Had exact same white/orange/red warning early on … luckily the dealer found the module on the network causing this, it was the pedestrian sound module … they replaced it and now I had like 2 or 3 times a yellow warning in a year, that is fixed by a shutdown restart …
The errors you see are what I call ghost errors, very hard to trace and are a network issue where one module can create havoc on the network, and you hope it better dies/fails, instead of just causing “sporadic” network issues

severely cutting back on range
If you believe the range meter is an accurate gauge, similar to "this is how many gallons of gas you have in your tank," this would be concerning. But that's not what this range meter is. It's better known as a "guess-o-meter" and it uses a combination of state of charge, current consumption, recent driving habits, and current driving conditions, to guess at how far you might make it on the charge, if everything else stays the same.
But if you have a couple of miles of back roads before you get to a freeway, and the freeway has some 55 mph and some 75 mph sections, those guesses won't be very accurate anyway.

So, nothing is "cutting back on range" just because the number goes down -- it just feels that way...

I would kindly like to disagree and also remind you that I am one of the few that has had these issues stated above which makes my car basically a lemon. In regards to the different warnings, the dealer in accordance with Porsche AG had it in service for about 10-11 months out of my 16 month of ownership. They have changed maybe up to 5 ECU's and even changed my whole charge port system on both sides including the whole high voltage battery charger underneath the rear seats just to try to see if the issues are fixed. They aren't. Now it is in service again yet for another yellow issue that has appeared before. Keep in mind that these are multiple warnings that has showed many times and not only once. Yes, this is obviously an outlier but you should by all means take the warnings seriously if it is for example a red warning or the E-sounds because it can cause serious issues to pedestrians or even yourself when driving the car.

Don't take everything with a pinch of salt, please. The only reason they took me seriously is because I have the (lets say audacity) to fight back with the dealership and disregarding whatever brand it is. I understand if customers might not want to do this since the "dealer is always right" but that is completely wrong. If you have issues showing up, take it to the dealer and make them have it until it is fixed. They are getting big bucks under warranty for the loaner by the GA of Porsche and that includes reimburstment for workers and repairs including spare parts.

Keep driving and don't be afraid to call out all of these issues above.

Best of luck.

I cannot stress enough how important is what @FirstEV said here.

If you don't press the dealer, they will not takie it seriously, they will give you bullshit and will do anything for the client to go away. In my case they try to guilt-trip me saying they don't get paid for the diagnostics and unless they fix to problem they don't get paid etc. It may very well be possible and it would explain their attitude (especially with little to no help from HQ) but should not be acceptable. Porsche should increase the time-quota for diagnostics of cars based on new platform (just like they did with the time required to do the latest update), it should not be passed on to clients.
