Agreed. My 4S is on its way across the Atlantic Ocean right now and is scheduled to arrive in R.I. on the 18th. If all goes as planned, I should definitely have it this month. Very much looking forward to meeting others in the area that also have one.. So far, I still have not seen one on the road in the wild. Only seen the few on the lot at the dealership in Nashua.

I've seen 5 outside of the dealer's corral over the past year. Then I've only seen about a dozen ICE Macans. I've seen a few Taycans at charging stations, however.

I grew up near there. My dad is still there and last time I was home I wanted to bring him to a dealer to show him a Macan EV... closest ones were out towards Boston, about 40-minutes away. Once there the sales guy said that the Macan EVs were not selling well there because lack of/not enough charging infrastructure in Northern New England that gives hesitation to use an EV for ski trips etc... True?

Where do you service a Macan EV if the dealerships are so far away from Central Mass?

There is a Boston dealership that is currently in Natick during their renovation. They are. About 20 minutes until they move again. I live near 495 and the Pike. Porsche dealership in Burlington is about 30 minutes on a good day.

I think it is more the cold weather reducing range but I haven’t found the infrastructure to be inadequate. My last EV was a Mercedes with a range of 200 or less in the winter. The Tesla adapter opens up a lot more options.

There are Tesla superchargers throughout New England and increasingly CCS as well. In any case, with the Macan range you can make it most anywhere as long as you can charge at your destination.

I think the dealer was talking the northern White mountain ski areas where there is like one Tesla high rate charger that accepts Macans. There are several South of Asland. There is a Tesla DC charger in Lincoln but it is not compatible with the Macan or other non Tesla EVs..

There are quite a few level 2 chargers that will give you 9kW. Loon mountain has several where Folks plug their EV in while they ski . It gives them enough juice to get back to civilization.

There does not seem to be any Macan compatible DC fast chargers between Ashland and Canada.

I was riding around the cape over the weekend and fast chargers outside of Hyannis are rare. I did see 6 Macan EVs in the wild, most with distant out of state plates.

Infrastructure around the cities is much better.

BTW the Nashua NH dealer recently built and moved into a "Destination Porsche Center". Impressive building.
