As suggested we went to the Porsche dealer to see our top two colors, Papaya and Gentian Blue. Both were very good looking to us. What surprised us about Papaya and it was perfectly parked at the corner of a building so we could see it in full-blast sunlight and complete building shade, was how much “pop” it had in the sunlight. Kind of like hundreds of tiny minuature firework dots-of-bright orange light going off right in our face. It was explosive in a good way. Our concern that it would look cheap-n-brassy like some oranges was eliminated.. In the shade it look more of a copper-orange or bronze- orange, e.g. exquisite to us especially as we live in the land of often six months of winter rainy, foggy, or cloudy so it would be a very safe color in terms of being seen by other vehicles during that weather.
Gentian too remained a super positive option for us, so as of yet no decision has been made.
I'm with you, Fun TC Driving!
Currently looking to replace my Taycan with a Macan, but don't know what color to pick: Papaya or Gentian... I like how the Papaya color seems to pop in the sun, but here in Belgium, sun only comes out on rare occasions.
You don't have, by any chance, some pictures you want to share of both the Papaya and Gentian colored cars you've seen at the dealer?
In deciding between Papaya and Gentian too - had blues before with my BMWs (Estoril Blue II, Tanzanite Blue).
Gentian seems to take on a purple hue at times which I like, but it’s still blue! Papaya, well that’s something different and at the end of the day, it will be on a 24 or 30 month lease.
As much as we have had a crush on Gentian Blue for a long time and configured way over twenty Macans starting with it, after seeing Papaya in person in bright sunlight and also in full shade, and our loving Papaya also greatly in the rain thanks to Thomas@Autogefühl (heck we live in the Pacific Northwest), we are excited that our Macan will be Papaya.
