PCMS Outage

My Macan 4S PCM experience random outages. Sound and GPS stopped. Central screen switches off and need to reboot the whole system by pressing the central sound button. This happen more than 15 times these past two months. Car was back to the dealer who has now knowledge of this issue. They updated the software to the lastest version, but the issue happens again. Has anyone experience such problem ?

That happened to me only once in the four months I’ve had the car. Not normal. If it continues to happen I would take the car back to the dealer.

it happens quite often to me also (model of october 2024)
I did not yet got any software update (remotely neither at dealer)

what I get is :
- warning the driving assistance is out of service (lane keeping / speed limits, etc)
- 3-split mode screen (height | media | sound&spoiler): some part is not showing up from time to tome.. Can be the media, can be the chassis level. It mostly happens when switching from driver profile, by using another key. Sounds like the program have to be reloaded, by takes a lot of time

I have to admit that, compared to my previous BMW x5 45e, the macan software is far from being at the level we can expect at such price. I hope it gets improved in coming months.

I had some problems after the big update, that the Porsche Center did. Unfortunately, they seem to have poor knowledge and experience of problems that are of an IT-related nature. I found a younger guy at another Porsche Center. He said that it was important to log out and back in when updating. We did a factory reset, located under System. Then I had to log in and change some settings and then it worked fine. There is no risk of doing this myself. Good luck!

I will ask the dealer to proceed
also having some pastic-cracking noises, from the rear trunk.
