Rear wiper or not ?

Had my car about 4 weeks now and have the rear wiper.... Used it quite a bit over this time. Never notice it whilst driving or think it spoils the car. Useful I'd say. Great that its an option though as like we've all said.... a personal choice

I do have my car since November last year. Mostly bad weather with rain or snow. There was not one moment where I would have needed a rear wiper.

Everything is relative, 5 km might be a long way as your pushing the car to the nearest chargingstation...

I live in New England and don't have one. it looks much cleaner and no issues yet - even in the winter we're having...

I reside in SoFlo...and the deluge of rain during our wet season can limit visibility big time. I added a rear wiper on my build.. I ceramic coat windows on my cars too...and the 4S will be no different when finally delivered.

Thankfully for those who get it, Porsche has said it very minimally diminishes range. But I do will not be optioning it.

I live in the U.K. and added a rear wiper. The roads get covered in salt during winter to stop them icing over and you need the wiper wash this away as it makes a horrible film over the glass that you can’t see past without clearing the screen.

Exactly what I was going to say: salt. The back of my car except for the wiped/washed area of the rear glass must have a quarter inch layer of salt grime on it right now. Living where I do, I would get it again. BTW, I haven't seen it mentioned, but both the wiper and the motor mounting point reduce the height of the rear window view. Not a problem for me, but it's pretty narrow even without the wiper.

I would say, so far, if not for the salt the wiper would serve no significant function for me, but given the salt, I would spec again.
