Hi,
I am used to my old Chevy Volt having special-coated brake discs that never, ever rusted. Chevy was aware that regen meant that the discs were only used to stop the car at the very last meter or 2. Looks like Porsche didn't think of that! The rust goes away after a few km of driving, but until that does, there is a scraping noise until the rust is worn away. What I don't like is that the top of the discs is rusted, and that does not go away (slightly visible in the second image). The rust below happened within 2-3 hours of rainfall (maybe sooner, I just went to the car 2-3 hours from when it rained). Does this happen to anyone else? I am bringing in my car next Monday July 14 to get the recall done, and hopefully the suspension hit when going over speed bumps (100% reproducible, just need to use the brakes just before going over the bump).
