Electric Macan EV Someone had to be the first... (bumper scratch) IMG_8618

I parked at the local mall at the end of an empty parking lot for ~15 mins and came back to this.
Turns out some idiot driver tried to park in the next spot, touched my bumper and left.
Security cameras caught the whole thing with his license plates so I'll use his insurance but... f***.
Will let you know how expensive this would be to fix.

Yeah I had a similar parking lot scratch on my Tesla. I had my PPF guy do some paint correction work and it restored to 80% He pealed off the old film and put new PPF. I was lucky to have PPF on it as the damage to the paint surface would have been much worse without it. Still ….super annoying to have people do this and run away.

Too bad! Well, in my city (Rome, Italy) with very tight parkings, it happens pretty frequently. Luckily I have my parking at the office. But my son that just got a brand new Mini Cooper EV SE JCW had a scratch after a week. His office is downtown close to the Spanish Steps and he has to park on the street.

...When I bought my present car more 12 years ago and to this day I'm extremely picky concerning where I park, exclusively because of such behaviours. Moreover I also avoid as much as possible tight parking spaces between other cars - especially at Supermarket parking areas where the shopping trolleys are an extra damage factor!!! - to avoid getting damages from the adjacent vehicles opening doors.
I remember one time I saw a driver opening his door with his foot and idiotically pushing it forcefully onto the car next to him, as there was a chance for the door to open even more and get his way out more easily!!:angry:
I prefer to search around the area I need to park for quite some time before I found what I consider as an acceptable place to park, and as a result I still have almost 0 damages from such behaviours which is considered as my pay off for all the time I've lost searching for the perfect place to park.
I can't even imagine my Macan irrespectively how old would be, being the victim of such problematic complexed people behaviours.
