Spanish Fork EA chargers and a group of 3 test Hummer EV’

Drove down the canyon from Park city south bound and stopped in Spanish Fork for a charge.

All 350kW chargers were being used by these 3 test Hummers.
Almost production ready interior. They would not allow pictures as they have their computers and equipment inside.
They were kind enough to let me take pictures of the exterior including images of the rear and forward shocks.
All engineers from GM on the way to Las Vegas for hot temperature testing. Told me it will weigh in at 10,000 lbs and running 35’ tires.
Several of the engineers had driven Taycan Turbo S and loved them.

I used the 150kW charger. Connected no problems. SoC at arrival 43% pulled 152kw to start. 22 mins later 86% pulling 91kW. Battery temp was 22C at start and 33C upon completion.

@REIL I suspect the drive through Heber along the Deer Creek Resevoir through Provo Canyon is a fun drive in a Taycan. Assuming you have no one in front of you...

Is that the route you took or did you come down I-15 from Salt Lake City? Were you heading south on I-15 or did you go through Spanish Fork Canyon? That would be another fun drive in a Taycan.

Ran Provo canyon yesterday and yes it is lots of fun. Sport/Sport+ with radar on. I really enjoy climbing Provo canyon more than the descent. Many twists and sweeping turns, wide enough with the two lanes each direction to really drive spiritedly.

Spanish Fork is a good drive also.
Spanish Fork/Payson over Neebo (11,929 feet although the road does not go quite to this altitude) then down to Nephi when it opens (snow covered at the moment) is fun and lots of tighter turns and curves than Provo canyon.

All three canyons are really fun on road bicycles. Lots of vertical to climb.

Many sheriff's (two to three) spread throughout the canyon writing lots of tickets lately. Beware and careful.
Did not see them yesterday fortunately.

Did a loop north I-15 through SLC then back to Park City I-80.

Not trying to be a jerk, but am I the only one who think those things are ugly monstrocities? Plus, they take up more than one parking space. Leave it up to GM to make something like that.

I have done the drive from Green River to SLC many times. It is a fun drive, in little to no traffic, once you head north out of Price to Spanish Fork. And, great charging rates even though those ugly monster EV's were sucking up a lot of juice at the same time.

I realize everyone has their own opinion, but I am not a fan of the EV Hummer.
