Storing Passenger seat settings

I have tried the manual but cannot work this out. By pressing Set and 1, I have successfully set a suitable passenger side seat position.
But after switching the car off and then coming back again, the seat is in a different position.

if I hold down 1 the chair then moves back to the ‘correct’ stored position.

what am I doing wrong?

May be tied to your key your using. Check the manual on how to set your key to your preset.

Once the passenger seat is set that should be it as only the driver's seat is programmed to move along with the steering wheel (if you have 14 or 18 way seats) when unlocked.

Passenger door memory controls are independent of this.

What seats and option do you have?

14 Way electric seats. I always use the same key to drive. I find the manual badly written and difficult to follow, so I am flummoxed as to why seat settings don’t seem to be stored/restored.

14 Way electric seats. I always use the same key to drive. I find the manual badly written and difficult to follow, so I am flummoxed as to why seat settings don’t seem to be stored/restored.

Same principle of operation as per all Porsches.

Only the driver's seat and steering column will auto adjust.

Porsche ID is assigned to your key. Key stores some comfort settings but not all and the rest via the ID (seat settings).

Next time when the driver's seat and wheel are where they should be press Set then 1 before power off. Exit and lock (seat will go to exit position). Unlock and as you open the door with the same key the driver's seat and column position will be restored when seated and door closed.

Also assumes you have the Comfort Entry setting enabled in the PCM in the first place if not then obviously only manual usage of the memory button (1 in this case) will work. Check that this option is set.

Passenger seat as mentioned is independent of this and can only be recalled using the passenger memory buttons.
