Go for it?

Go for it, even if I don’t like the oak green. I would have changed my order of the 4 (ice grey) for the 4S but it was too late…

How much of a hit financially would that be to do that?

Go for it. I test drive both the 4 and 4S and loved both, but the extra PUNCH packed by the 4S blew me away. If you can afford it, I say pull that trigger!

I’ll know that at the moment I put my Macan4 for sale. Porsche isn’t offering anything attractive on the trade in, but the market is relatively okay for Macans still, as the model is very new. Reckon I can get around €85K for mine back and new one with discount around €118K. So probably 33-35K hit.

yeah I need that 4 second 0-100 punch, cause now 5 seconds feels slow. I used to own the i4 M50 and Model 3 Performance, it did 3.8 sec and 3.4 sec respectively, which is way faster acceleration than the Macan 4

It only seems interesting to me if you indeed get a € 10,000 discount on your new Macan S. That seems like a high amount at a Porsche dealer.…
Your depreciation on the 4, assuming a sales price of 85K, is already 18K. That's a loss. With a new price of your S of approximately 128K, you need to add 43K...

A big discount on the S is necessary. Otherwise I would have the feeling that my money is being flushed down the drain. Just as I had when I traded in my 2 year old Taycan ST.
And all of this for a gain of 1 second? Mwah… unless you have a money tree. Mine has 27K of options. Perhaps a better specced 4 would have been a better choise for you, I think.

yeah that’s the premise. I had locked in a very high end of year discount on a new Panamera 4 e-hybrid, but im considering to swap it for a fully loaded 4S Macan, family choices - dealer is game, just waiting for their final confirmation. So basically it’s a pivot from changing Macan4 to Panamera to actually stepping up to Macan4S and all the options we’ve ever wanted incl Oak Green Neo color and truffle olea leather interior, with some craziest 22” painted wheels
