Tesla Universal Charger?

I am a former Tesla owner (which I loved btw) but after 8 years I felt it was time for a change. While waiting for my 2025 Macan 4 EV i needed a charger at my home so I bought the Tesla Universal charger. It’s pretty cool, the adapter is inside the charger. You push a lever to attach it to the normal nozzle. So far, it seems to work great. Has anyone else used it? I need another charger at our ranch and have opted to install the Tesla Universal charger there as well. It’s really well designed and it connects to WiFi for any software updates. It was recommended over the Macan charger when I researched online? I can stop the install of the Tesla Universal at my ranch if anyone has any insight that it’s not as good as a Macan charger?

no one purchases a Porsche EV for their "quality EVSE" offerings…you'll be pleased with a TUWC for your EV charging needs…

Porsche's cars are among the best production vehicles you can purchase - the car is the reason for the purchase - in the case of accessories it's also sometime's true that Porsche accessories are also the best. In the case of the Porsche EV chargers (EVSE's) it's just best to pretend they don't exist and get one of many excellent, high quality, much much better non-Porsche alternatives (for north america) - the TUWC is on the short list of "best non-Porsche EVSE" for any EV you may purchase.

I can not think of _ANY_ EVSE that the Porsche offering is "better" than - Porsche's North American EVSE offerings have been a factual problem and do not represent the brand well…

you're better off with virtually _ANY_ EVSE vs. the Porsche product.

Tesla charger is great. I use the Lectron adaptor. No issues.
the Porsche charger that comes with the car is equally fine
Both provide 9.4 kWh
If using the Porsche charger-make sure to press the power button down until you get 100% charge notification as opposed to the standard 50%

I switched from my Tesla s to macan 4s.
the Tesla was an absolute piece of crap.
the macan 4s is one of the most fun cars I have driven.
build quality impeccable.
software is great.

I got a TUWC cuz that feller who posted above named Dave...said so .
I did buy a Porsche decal to cover the Tesla emblem (yeah...I am petty!! Ha!)

Have not had the opportunity to charge yet. Guess I will have that opportunity In the next week or two.

I have the Tesla Universal charger at multiple locations and it works perfect well with my Porsche Macan EV and another EV as well. Highly recommend.

I used a Tesla Universal Charger to charge my Macan 4 without issues. I installed the charger with a 60A breaker, which should provide 11 kW, but since the Macan has a 9.6 kW AC charging capacity, this limitation isn't a concern for me.

Compared with Porsche, I prefer not to commit to Tesla (Fisher Price quality)
