it has an included/built-in J-1772 adapter so you are good to go

but still a good idea to have an adapter when away from home

Re other adapter...like a ccs as some charging stations use ccs vs 1772?
I highly suspect 99% of the time ..will be charging it in the garage but I can see where it might be best to have a ccs and not use it vs being somewhere ..and needing it

Gonna buy the TUWC tonight ..and have electrician install next week.

  • Tesla Destination charger (hotels, business, residential, malls, mobile charger, golf courses, wineries)
• CCS1/NACS Supercharger Adatper - SuperTap or similar
  • Tesla superchargers - and eventually other NACS fast chargers (EVGo, EA, Chargepoint have all announced they will have NACS cables at their charging sites - so eventually CCS1 vehicles will need an adapter even at non-Tesla fast charging sites)

no hurry on superTap or similar - VW/Audi/Porsche won't have access until June - and even then maybe only VW - it's unclear - we'll see how this rolls out…

it's likely/reasonable/expected that Audi/Porsche will ride VW's coat tails here (same top level corporation) and gain supercharger access - but factually this is not yet confirmed at this time - it's also unconfirmed there is a separate schedule. But going by the only facts presented it's only been recently confirmed for VW…but I'm not sure Audi/Porsche could be excluded due to vehicleID/Vin structure all pointing back to VW as the top level manufacturer

in any case we need facts and actual dates before we know anything for sure - we simply know it _WILL_ happen, but not time frame, or exact mechanism…

TUWC installed!!
Per my contract....electrician was supposed to install a Hubbell too...as back up (per ur other recommendations on other threads). He installed a no name 14 50...and I was like "oh no my friend...you said you had Hubbell's in stock etc etc".
So...the same electrician swings by tomorrow to remove the no name 14 50 and install my hubbell....
