Did you get the communication module replaced/fixed, did that fix the issue.I've reported it to Porsche Connect, they did a remote diagnostics and I'm set for communications module replacement. You have to document this behaviour (like screenshots, video) for them to taki it seriously. The comm module is a pain in the ass to replace, takes severals days as you have to disassemble center console. Just when I thought after the update that perhaps December could be the first month my car will not be at the shop for something![]()
Which charger do you use?Mine has started to exhibit this behaviour. SoC not updating in the app for a day and can’t use remote climate. I tried switching that automatic time setting on and off but no luck. Has anyone got a proven fix to this yet? Currently I’m stuck with going out to he car to charge it at 2330 and making sure I don’t ask for more that 6 hours of charge so I can make use of my octopus Intelligent Go rates which is a bit of a pain.
HiWhich charger do you use?
Depending on the charger you can ask Octopus to communicate with the charger rather than the car, which in my case works seamlessly
(I have an Andersen A3)
an update on my issue with the app not updating. After trying all of the fixes suggested, including the time fix, I decided to schedule an appointment with my local service shop. About four hours later, the app started working again. Strange timing. I called Porsche service and canceled the appointment. They confirmed that a lot of people are having the same issue and there’s no simple or common fix.Did you get the communication module replaced/fixed, did that fix the issue.
I've had the issue of the app not updating and connecting to the car (SOC, location, ability to use climate, all) for the past two weeks. I've tried the auto-date fix suggested by some, but my issue persists. I'm dubious of a service center fix since it seems to be software.
BTW: I connected the car to a Wifi and confirmed it connected and still the app doesn't update. Wifi on the Macain 4 is the way the app connected to the car at my house (I don't have cell coverage) when it was working, that is also not working.
So this is a weird one. My car has lost remote access for charging management purposes again. As a recap that means you can’t see the state of charge or set the max charge level. This means I can’t use my smart tariff with Octopus Electricity.Hi
it’s a 4 year old my energy zappi charger and appears to have no remote access at all. Anyway in the meantime I raised a case with Porsche who seemingly did nothing then about a week later the car miraculously came alive again. I told Porsche connect but they didn’t have a clue. It’s fine now. Well at least the charging and remote access is. I can’t say the same for the frunk catch which won’t close if I open it and beeps at me with red warnings if I try to drive it saying it is open. I called Porsche assist who told me it may have a faulty sensor. That happened on Friday night so I had to wait until Monday to call Porsche to fix it. By then on Sunday it had fixed itself as per every other fault that seems to appear on this car. It’s booked in later in the month for them to look at it. Meanwhile I can’t use the frunk. Unless, of course, I accidentally press the release key on the fob because of the poor design. Oh dear.
Check if Octopus can communicate with your wall charger. If it’s compatible it’s a more robust way of charging I’ve foundMine stopped working 6 days ago. It has always been flaky (I came from Tesla, where it was rock solid), but the Porsche has always fixed itself within 24-48 hours.
It has never been broken this long.
It's a real pain as I can't remotely defrost my car in the morning, and as my electricity company can't talk to the car, I can't currently get their cheap overnight charging (Octopus Energy, UK).
I've contacted my local Porsche Centre, and we'll see what they say (although they have never been good with antyihg software related)
It is no longer that easy - if you have a compatible car, they insist on connecting through that.Check if Octopus can communicate with your wall charger. If it’s compatible it’s a more robust way of charging I’ve found
I explained I couldn’t charge my MY26, they set up the wall charger within a day or so, this was last monthIt is no longer that easy - if you have a compatible car, they insist on connecting through that.
The workaround is to find an incompatible 100kWh car and 'lie' about having that, at which point they will allow a charger connection.
Yes, I could get the charger to work but what I really want is Porsche to fix their infrastucture.
