[Fun TC Driving]

My COPO Macan came with some PPF on the front. But due to a couple of errant rock chips during its first owner’s life, there were two ugly scuffs in it (one on the front center fo the hood, another on the top of front fascia — but also in another very visible place. Also the piece on the hood only extended back 18” toward the windshield (something that has always visually irritated me and “had to go” from the day I first saw it).

On the way to my excellent PPF shop (TCT WRaps in Hillsboro, OR), I was surprised that even though it was only 58 degrees F outside, the sun shining directly through my driver’s window was uncomfortably hot, causing me to instinctively turn down my pre-set temperature. If it was this uncomfortable at this cool temp, it was a reminder why we always heat-reaction/UV rejection tint the front door glass, e.g., range and comfort extender. Thus I added to my PPF order, 98% heat rejection and similar percentage UV rejecting XPEL window tint.

The third mod is best illustrated by this picture. Thanks Awaz for first posting it on our forum. My wife and I (and grandkids who saw it earlier today just love it. However, right now I can not find a functioning AliExpress or other link to recommend it to you (I think the link lapse is just a one week or so time out due to the exclusion of tariffs on less than $800 items). Hopefully it would be soon repriced and return. That is it more colorfully better, and at much lesser amount than Porsche’s Puddle Light ordering price (I think I paid about $150 total for all four doors), it is a mod that is making us happy every time we open any of the four doors, especially so in a garage, at night, etc. Hopefully this link that I I ordered it from will return and function soon for those who wish:

On the puddle lights, Would have gone this route too if my SA didn’t provide me free ones on delivery. The ones he provided were the Porsche branded one that says “Porsche” and it comes off as pretty small in font so I think the one you got is the way to go.
