Mine is back again (2nd visit) they are now replacing the assistance systems control unit.... and I assume aligning software versions again. Hopefully this corrects the issue for me. It seems that many people have had good luck and no faults.

I have (currently) about 10 ignitions cycles of issues, then it its perfect for approx. another 10. I recorded video and the service department was actually impressed with the number of times it didn't work; and the different failure states. Always different, despite the same fault codes. At one time, I was able to capture about 16 different failures in the PCM.

I was original told that these were false positives, which I was able to prove to them that they were 100% not false positives because the systems reporting errors actually went offline too, such as blind spot and for me the most problematic was the headlight control system - living in the country in dark northern winter lighting - I need the headlights to work in high beam mode (only low beam would work in failure mode).

I'm hoping that the hardware has in fact gone bad, and this replacement combined with the software everyone else had such good luck with corrects this. Should have my car back in a few days, and maybe another week or two before I have any idea if the problem is sorted. but probably a month to feel confident in the repair.
