I've been trying to establish what the icons and coloured dots mean in the connectivity area of the PCM screen.

As far as I can ascertain, the 4G (LTE) means that the ar has connectivity for Porsche Connect. The bars icon is my phone's signal strength.

But what are the 2 dots? In the image here, there are 2 dots - a blue and a green.

TIA

i think green indicates the phone being connected and the blue indicates Android Auto being connected

The owner's manual says the following about that section of the PCM. It doesn't explain which coloured dot does what:

  • Status symbols:
    • displayed when an app accesses location services, microphone, etc.
    • Display data connection and connected devices.

If you touch that area, you get a new dialog that allows you to select what is displayed there. But also, that dialog has larger versions of those dots, with icons on them.

Blue is navigation, and green is a microphone.

Blue is "location services".
