My windows seem to fog up during winter times even with the AC on. I end up having to have Max demister to clear it. Usually with Ice cars, we don't get fog with just the AC on.

Anyone else experience this

I'm booked in for the update at the end of the month. Good news if it fixes it.

Double check if all your vents are opened up as well. Just in case :) . The slide is crucial as the Climate Panel cannot tell if it’s open or closed it just tells you how airflow should be going in case the vents are indeed opened up.

Yeah, they were all open. Even had them set to blow on the windscreen. I think EVs using heatpumps works differently to normal AC perhaps

I can add, after the 28.13 update, the inside glass fog has not happened. It seems to be one of the few things that the update actually solved for me, didn't even think about it until I read this post, but its this part of the update has been solid. I do however leave the climate control on Auto at temp set at 21c -22c. Hopefully it works for you as well as it has for me.

Heat pumps don't like to be cycled, they want to be left on, and will self-regulate the temp. I see many car drivers turn up the heat to full blast and then turn it down etc... not the right approach for a heat pump system. Set it to the desired cabin temp and let it self-regulate. The system will change the flow of the refrigerant to maintain the cabin temp target set, and this will behave as a dehumidifier. Works the same for both winter and summer cycles, the system reverses the flow of refrigerant for the seasons.

Last winter I was have issues with fogging in cold weather too — it was really annoying. I can say that after the v28.13 software update, I haven't had any window fogging. We just took a trip to northern Vermont for several days and the temps were -4°F to 11°F and I experienced zero fogging during the trip.

I was on the motorway and hadn't changed any of the settings and it starts fogging up, not ideal. Also it doesn't produce much heat unless you provoke it to a high setting.

Glad the update should fix it.

I use the defrost button for like 15 seconds when it gets too foggy to see through the windshield. That clears up the windshield very quickly. I rarely run the defroster continuously (or the A/C in summer) because the fan uses almost 20% of the car’s available electricity, even if the fan is at low setting! So if it says 230 miles remaining on the dashboard, it immediately changes to about 184 when I turn on the heater or defroster

Does everyone else see the same thing on their car?

I should add that I’m extra frugal with electricity since I’m in my first year of ownership, and I’m just charging at EA superchargers every 3 days. No home charger yet.
