the 115-volt Power Socket in Rear Luggage Compartment - honestly for $160 I see no reason not to give Porsche their money on this one!!

euro spec pre-production so the "panel" in the rear cargo area was "blank" and did not have a North American 120V AC outlet - but it's clear this is where it would go if you ordered it.

One of the best value options. Peanuts to add and will be bringing my hot plate to the park picnic. Gone is the propane stove 😊....wishful thinking on my part...but after digging found something closer to reality...lol

Previous photos of this socket for the European market show this as 150w max at 230v. I can’t imagine the US market getting 1000+w at 120v for this item

No hotplates, no margarita blenders, much sadness

150 watts is good - but yeah nothing "big power" - but 100w USB C charger for lap tops or some such.

Sad...so I was not able to find a written spec but found this pic from another thread of the EU version. So if the North American version is similar then 150w.....so a camp light or likely most LED lights, laptop, medium fan, heating pad, low watt TV, shaver, electric tooth brush.....but yeah...limited but somewhat useful.

Dave - This is a great build. I love the color choices both interior and exterior. You were very thoughtful about the options. The look, from the body to the headlights, is going to be a nice contrast of the Copper Ruby Metallic paint, and Black accents.

You also included some options I don't have in my Taycan 4s but would love to have in my next Porsche including massage seating, & heated windshield. The color choice for the roof rack is also great.

One thing I'm not clear on is whether you can option 19.2kW onboard charging on a Macan. I don't see that anywhere in the Configurator - did I miss something? Also, with 95 kW of net usable HV battery, what total range are you expecting? (i.e., what do you expect the Miles/KWh to be?)

19.2 kW onboard charger is not an option for Macan EV - maybe in the future - but so far Porsche has been "mum" on it's future…

real world testing has demonstrated the Macan EV to be a 300 mile range vehicle in "real world" conditions…so I'm optimistic that 280 is a low end and 340 is a high end of the expected range you can expect in normal highway driving…we'll have to see once they get in real people's hands, but some of the reviewers actually got to drive them and one in particluar got like 32x miles and still had 3% battery left…which is very very promising.

I expect it to be much much more efficient than Taycan - 95 kWh usable vs. 327 miles and 3% "unused" - shows 97% is 327 miles - 97% of 95 kWh is 92.1 kWh (we'll call it 92)

92 kWh at 327 miles is about 3.55 miles/kWh - if true that's pretty good - my "lifelong" consumption for my Taycan came in at 3 mile/kWh when I sold it - so 3.5 mile/kWh would be a nice bump in efficiency if it pans out…

I'm very very optimistic it's no worse than Taycan - and my Taycan Turbo could do 270 miles on all seasons in normal highway driving when I first got it…

if Macan EV can do 300 miles (or more) reliably I'm going to be very very happy…that equates to about 5 hours solid seat time between charging stops…which is about all I can handle anyways - my Cayenne's range is 340 miles with the gas tank - so if Macan EV is 300+ miles, it's about the same as you can drive a Cayenne Turbo on a tank of gas…

Nice configuration, Dave! Here is ours: PRT51EW9
Love the color choices, but quick question - Have you used 18-way seats before? A number of folks on the forum don't find them as comfortable due to the higher side boosters, and when you option them you can't add massage.

Also noticed you left out the heated steering wheel. Personally I find that essential in the Pacific NW, but YMMV.

Thoughts?

We love 18-way seats and do not mind the side bolsters when getting in or out. Four out of five of our Porsche' have them (first Porsche was a 2012 Cayman S Black Edition with 14-way seats). We adjust the side bolters to their tightest settings - much better for my driving! :) I weigh 200 lbs. and my wife is ~130 lbs.

Absolutely love a heated steering wheel and was led to believe it was standard for the turbo. It may have been an early configuration error (there were several that had to be fixed between PCNA and PAG). Consider it a must-have option, even in warmer climates that have cool nights. Will be very disappointed if it is missing. I see no evidence today that it exists in the standard turbo configuration).

EDIT 2021-06-24: Have confirmed heated steering wheel and heated front seats are standard on both the 4 and turbo.
