I'm considering switching from a Model 3 Performance to an SUV, mainly because of the frequent 3+ hour ski trips I make each winter. My plan was to use a trailer hitch for mounting a ski rack at the back, but I'm having reservations due to the highly visible gap near the hitch (see attached pictures).

My alternative would be a roof rack, though I'm concerned about the impact on range and potential roof damage.

For those planning to carry skis with your Macan, what solutions have you found work best? Any advice or ideal setups to share?

I’ve used the ski bag through the rear seat fold down in the Taycan and it works well for 2 people with the boots going in the frunk. I have a plastic frunk protector from suncoast which I believe they also do for the Macan EV

This. The Macan does have 40/20/40 folding rear seats so you can just pass through the skis.
