Good point. I did notice, however, that Out of Spec Dave was getting only a bit more than 200 miles range on his cold and speedy drive from Colorado to Connecticut. It’s unclear what contributed to that degradation, and by how much.

Yes, certainly, but what was the contribution of cabin heating to the reduction of range? I was just pointing out the USA Today suggestion that range might be extended by using seat heating vs a lot of cabin heating. It would be interesting to do a Macan trip twice, with and without cabin heating, and see the effect on range.

Are the side mirrors supposed to swivel down when reversing? is it only the passenger side mirror that swivels?

the directions in the owner's manual don't really make sense to me and i can't get it to work.

if this is anything like the Taycan it is only the passenger side mirror that tilts down when reversing. You have to enable it in the PCM and you have to then set the mirror angle when in reverse as a setting.

Thanks for this, looks like no need to go to PCM, although it reads you can adjust both it seems to be passsenger only:

Swivelling down mirror glass as a parking aid

The mirror glass on passenger’s side swivels slightly downwards when gear R is engaged to show the kerb area.

1. Engage gear R.
   The indicator light on button B (Fig. 1) for adjusting the exterior mirror on the driver's side lights up.

Individually adjusting the position of the lowered mirror glass

• Gear R is engaged

1. Move the exterior mirror glass to the corresponding position by pressing adjustment button C (Fig. 1).

Also realised massage seats only stay on for 10 minutes - need to keep restarting - seems a simple software update could allow you to use it more. 10 minutes is not very long....
